First Dates (in Germany First Dates - a table for two , in Austria First Dates Austria ) is a dating - docu-soap , the glocalized editions of which are broadcast on VOX (Germany) and ATV (Austria). The German version, hosted by Roland Trettl , is broadcast Monday to Friday at 6 p.m., the Austrian version on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:15 p.m.

The location of the German edition is a former warehouse in Cologne - Ehrenfeld ; First Dates Austria is filmed in a Viennese restaurant [2] . There the host greets the candidates one by one, leads them to the bar and introduces them to each other. With a drink served at the bar, the couples make their first contacts and are then led by Trettl or Natascha to their table, where they choose their dish and eat together. At the end of the meal, the bill is presented in a box and the candidates have to agree on a payment method. If desired, it can be sent to the photo box. The candidates are first asked separately and then together whether they would like to meet again.

At the end of each episode, what happened to the couples is partially shown. The biting comments from the staff are also part of the program. [3]
